CT Scan

CT scans use X-ray technology and computers to produce multiple images of the inside of the body. NorthShore University HealthSystem radiologists use these cross-sectional images to diagnose and treat diseases or injuries. This noninvasive test can be used to examine internal organs such as the heart, bones, soft tissue and blood vessels. The image produced by CT provides more detail than a traditional X-ray.
